| This paper discusses the difference in moral development between men and women in the views of Carol Gilligan. By considering the differences between male and female thinking, Gilligan theorizes how men and women develop different morals and ways of thinking. The fact that women's views have been largely ignored throughout history and are still today overlooked is explained as well as how society has molded gender roles that contribute to this difference in morality.
